Jesus enters Jerusalem as the long awaited Messiah the Saviour King of Israel, but His plan for redeeming Israel looks nothing like what the people have in mind and maybe nothing like what they actually want. He is on His way to the cross to suffer and die for sin, and His plan for redemption transcends all the Kingdoms of this world. Jesus is ushering in the reign of an everlasting Kingdom who's King has triumphed not just over Israel's natural enemys, but over sin and death itself.
